SERGEY G. KOZLOV

H.E. AMBASSADOR EXTRAORDINARY AND PLENIPOTENTIARY

Was born in 1955.

Graduated from Moscow State Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the USSR in 1978.

Works in the MFA since 1995.

2002 – 2005 – Minister-Counsellor in the Embassy of Russia in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

2005 – 2008 - Head of the section of the Middle East and North Africa Department of the MFA (Moscow).

2008 – 2010 – Head of the Representative Office of the Russian Federation to the Palestinian National Authority.

2010 – 2013 - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of Yemen.

2013 – February 2017 - Deputy Head of the Middle East and North Africa Department of the MFA (Moscow).

Since February 2017 - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Fluent speaker of Arabic and English.

Married, has a son and a daughter.
